It’s nearly time for our volunteer elves to have a well-earned rest, so Wandsworth Foodbank will be closed from 4pm on Friday 22 December, until 9am on Tuesday 2 January 2023.
During December, thanks to our supporters’ generosity, we’re providing a supermarket gift card alongside emergency food to each household referred in hardship. We’ll be providing around 1,600 emergency food parcels in the four weeks to Christmas, so we’re confident that everyone referred to us will receive the help they need.
We’re asking our food bank referrers to please refer anyone in hardship who needs a delivery because of ill-health or disability by 12pm on Tuesday 19 December please. Referrals after that date may need to wait for delivery until January.
If you, or someone you know, needs emergency support while we’re closed, please see other local emergency financial support available from Wandsworth Council, for instance their crisis grants, and help from their Cost of Living Hub (online or you can phone 0808 175 3339 to speak to an adviser).
