Big or small, every gift you give helps local people experiencing financial hardship

We provide emergency food, support and advice to people and families in Wandsworth who are experiencing severe financial hardship, and who are referred to us by local organisations including schools, GPs, social services and health teams.

In 2020/21 we provided more than 11,000 emergency food supplies to local people – 4 in 10 of which were for children. None of this would be possible without the generosity of people giving what they can to help others, and we’re so grateful.

But we don’t just do food. At our seven food bank welcome centres across Wandsworth Borough, our trained volunteers help people find further support to resolve the financial hardship they’re facing. This includes expert advice and casework from our Foodbank Advice Project, a partnership with Citizens Advice Wandsworth which provided much-needed support to more than 500 food bank guests last year.

Your gift will help us meet the still high levels of need that we’re seeing, as the impact of the pandemic continues to affect local families and individuals, especially those already on the lowest incomes. Thank you.

Give a gift today

You can quickly and easily give money online to support local people referred to us in extreme hardship. Every gift you give is appreciated so much – by us and by the families and individuals who need our support at this time. Thank you so much.

If you would like to and are able to, giving a regular monthly gift to support local people through us is one of the best ways you can help. Regular giving helps us plan ahead, and know that we can continue helping every local person referred to us as well as we possibly can.

With Virgin Giving (the previous giving platform we used) closing in November 2021, if you give regularly to us through Virgin, please do move your giving to our new place at JustGiving. If you need help, please let us know.

If you’re able to, please complete the Gift Aid declaration when you give online. This helps your gift go even further, as we can claim back 25p every time someone donates £1 to our charity. You can find out more about how Gift Aid works here. Thank you.

Fundraise for us

We’re always so grateful to local people who take on a fundraising challenge or event to support local families through our Foodbank. If you’re thinking of running, jumping, cycling, or baking to raise money for our work – or something more quietly relaxing – you can easily set up your own fundraising page using this link.

We’ll see it online, but we’d also love to hear from you about your plans and how you get on! Do let us know or give us a call on 020 7326 9428. Wed love to also support your fundraising adventure by sharing on our social media if you’d like that – just let us know.

Other ways to give

If you’d prefer to set up a standing order offline, please download this form, complete and return it to us in the Foodbank Office.

Alternatively, you can donate by cheque, payable to Wandsworth Foodbank. Please download a Gift Aid Form if you’re a UK taxpayer donating offline, so that we can maximise your gift for the benefit of local people.

Thank you!
