Food bank vouchers

Our food bank works using a voucher referral system. Find out more here.

In order to provide the best help for your situation, we work with local agencies across Wandsworth who can refer people to us. If your income isn’t covering the cost of food and essentials, they may be able to issue you with a food bank voucher.

Wandsworth Foodbank works with a number of different agencies, such as Citizens Advice Wandsworth, local schools and children’s centres, social services and other teams at Wandsworth Council, GPs and mental health services, and other local charities.

If you’re in touch with a local organisation already, please ask if they can refer you to us. To find out more about local agencies who can refer to us, please visit our How to get help page or contact us.

When you contact a food bank referral agency they’ll take some basic details from you to complete an online voucher. This will help them to identify the cause of your crisis and offer practical guidance.

Once the referrer has completed an online referral for you, you can choose to come to the most convenient food bank welcome centre for you. It might be the one nearest you, or one that’s on the best day for you. Hopefully the referrer will give you a voucher code of print-out of the referral, but this isn’t essential.

We also offer a limited number of home deliveries for people who cannot travel to one of our welcome centres, for instance because of disability. Please let the referrer know if you need this.

If you’re a local agency or charity and would like to become a registered voucher holder for our food bank, please contact us to find out more.
