This December, the London dealership HTC Group has chosen to support Wandsworth Foodbank, and help people in hardship in the local community so that everyone who needs help has access to essential resources in the lead up to Christmas.
HTC Group is collecting food donations through their MAXUS Food Bank Appeal and is very generously lending a van to Wandsworth Foodbank, to help with collections and delivieries during December – our busiest month of the year.
Mark Barrett, Harris MAXUS Managing Director said: “We were blown away with the support for our food bank campaign last year, so we’ve brought it back for 2023 and we’re hoping to grow on its success. Last year we deployed more than 30 MAXUS vans around the country, delivering food to where it is needed most and supporting the incredible work of local food banks through our dealer network.
“As the cost-of-living crisis continues, more people than ever are relying on their local food bank this winter. In response, we invite MAXUS customers and neighbouring businesses to make a meaningful difference to those most vulnerable by supporting this year’s MAXUS Food Bank Appeal. All donations are welcome however big or small. Together we can really make a difference and help drive change.”
Michael Duggan, HTC Group Van Sales Manager said, “We hope for a day when food banks are no longer necessary but until then we are pleased to be able to play our part and support the amazing work they do to stand with others in some of the most challenging moments of their lives.”
Dan Frith, Manager of Wandsworth Foodbank, says:
“We are so grateful to Michael and the team at HTC Group, for their invaluable support as we face what looks like being a very difficult winter for many local people and families. Thank you too to everyone who will donate and support this campaign. Your generosity will make a real difference, helping us provide emergency food and support this winter, as we work towards a future where nobody needs to rely on a food bank for the essentials.”
