Will you help us be here for people this winter?

27th November 2023

In the four weeks leading up to Christmas, Wandsworth Foodbank will be providing around 1,600 Christmas food parcels to local individuals and families facing hardship.

The soaring cost of living is driving record numbers of people on the lowest incomes to food banks like ours – and we’re working hard to ensure we have enough food and essentials to help everyone referred to us. Alongside this, we’ll help people apply for crisis grants, and offer expert advice and support from our Foodbank Advice Project.

We’re also aiming to provide prepay fuel vouchers to people who urgently need one, as part of our Warmer Winter campaign. And during December we hope to offer guests a Christmas gift card, so they can choose and buy what they most need in the run up to Christmas.

Alongside food banks across the Trussell Trust network, we’re working to ensure people have enough money for the essentials in the future.  Until then, we’ll do everything we can to provide emergency support for local people facing hardship.

Will you help us be here for people this winter?

Please help if you can by:
  • Donating to our Warmer Winter appeal to help people urgently top up prepay fuel meters
  • Donating to our Christmas Gift Card appeal to give people in hardship a little extra this December
  • Donating food and essentials like tinned fish, tinned fruit, new hot water bottles and Christmas selection packs. Find out more about how you can donate food here.

Thank you.
