Thank you to everyone who donated to our emergency appeal

Thank you so much to each one of the 65 local people who donated to our emergency appeal in the last couple of weeks, to help us purchase low-cost essential food items that we’d nearly run out of after a busy winter.

Thanks to people’s generosity, the appeal raised more than £7,000 including Gift Aid. We’ve now ordered some essential food items, and the first delivery including milk, tinned potatoes, tinned tuna and tinned meatballs arrived this morning (see photos below)! It will be going out to our six welcome centres across Wandsworth Borough in the next few days, and on to the tables of people referred to us in hardship.

Our emergency appeal is now closed, but we’d love you to consider becoming one of our amazing team of regular givers who give a little each month, and help change lives all year round.

A monthly financial donation provides steady funding that helps keep our shelves stocked throughout the year, ensuring local families referred to us can have food on their tables when they need it most. It also helps us provide vital more-than-food support to help people resolve the financial hardship causing them to need the food bank’s help, including from our Foodbank Advice Project.
