We’re excited to announce a special showing of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, the uplifting classic Christmas film about hope and the value of community, in the beautiful setting of St Mark’s Church, Battersea Rise on Friday 12 December.
Doors open at 6.30pm for mulled wine and mince pies, and a chance to get cosy before the film begins at 7pm.
Book your ticket here! Tickets are limited, so please book as soon as you can.
We’re not charging for tickets, but we’re inviting people to donate what they can to support local people facing hunger and hardship this Christmas. We don’t want cost to be a barrier for people, so there are different donation options when you reserve your ticket, including £0.
Winter is one of the busiest times for Wandsworth Foodbank. More families than ever are facing hardship. On average, households referred to food banks are left with just £104 a week after rent, barely enough to cover food, energy, and other essentials.
That’s why Wandsworth Foodbank is really grateful to Taylor Wimpey South Thames for sponsoring the event, so that 100% of people’s festive film night Christmas Appeal donations can be used to give practical help and hope to local people in some of their most difficult times.
Louise Adams, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said:
“It’s A Wonderful Life is a true Christmas classic, showing the importance and value of helping others no matter your own circumstances. We are delighted to be helping Wandsworth Foodbank to put on this film night and raise as much money as possible to help local people this festive season.”
