Our brilliant Operations Manager Jenni is taking part in the Thames Path Ultra Challenge in September – a continuous 100km walk over two days – to raise funds for Wandsworth Foodbank. Will you cheer her on, and help local families in hardship, by donating to her fundraising page?
Jenni says:
I’ve been part of the food bank team for over two years, and I’ve seen for myself the impact that this amazing local charity has in our local community.
People come to Wandsworth Foodbank at some of the most difficult times in their lives. It can take a lot of courage to ask for help, and so what we offer is more than food and advice, vital as those are.
Please donate to this worthwhile cause. However small or large, your gift today makes a huge difference for local people and families. Thank you.
Wandsworth Foodbank offers people across Wandsworth Borough a warm welcome and a safe space, a cup of tea, a listening ear, kindness, encouragement, and emotional support, so people do not feel alone.
Last year we provided 12,638 emergency food supplies to local people and families, alongside support and advice to help tackle the issues causing hardship and hunger. 63% of food parcels went to households with children.
This was a 96% increase in emergency parcels in five years, and need remains high this year. We really value and need the support of our local community more than ever to continue to help everyone who is referred to us facing hardship and hunger. Thank you.
