Christmas opening times

24th December 2021

Today, Christmas Eve, we’ve provided and delivered emergency food to 80 households referred to us in poverty. We’re so glad to be able to support each one, and we’re grateful to everyone who helps makes this possible.

We’re now closed and are giving our food bank volunteer elves a rest until Tuesday 4 January 2022 – apart from one welcome session for emergency referrals on Friday 31 December. Please check our locations page for information about our welcome centres and when each one re-opens.

For urgent help for you, or someone you’re supporting, Wandsworth Council have told us they will be providing crisis grants during the Christmas holidays. You can apply online (or help someone to apply online), and crisis grants are available to Wandsworth residents in financial hardship up to 3 times in 12 months. These are supermarket vouchers (approx £30 per person in a household) and gas and electricity vouchers for pre-payment meters (£10/£20 on each). They’re grants not loans, so people won’t need to pay them back.

From all of us at Wandsworth Foodbank, we hope you have a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
