Emergency appeal: Help ensure there’s enough food for everyone who needs support right now

12th February 2026

We’re worried. Our stocks of emergency food are incredibly low, after our busiest winter on record.

Right now we’re struggling to restock our six food bank welcome centres across Wandsworth Borough, where local people come to receive emergency food, advice and support.

Can you help local people and families facing hardship and hunger by donating to our emergency appeal today?

Your gift will help us to bulk buy key essential food items at low-cost, to ensure everyone who’s referred to our food bank gets the help they need now.

On average, households referred to food banks like ours are left with just £104 a week after housing costs to cover food, energy bills, travel, toiletries, and other essentials. (Source: Trussell)

Local people referred to Wandsworth Foodbank often have to choose between paying their rent to keep their home, topping up their prepayment meter to keep warm, or being able to afford sufficient food for themselves and their children. The stress on people and families in these situations is immense.

Please donate today. Your gift today will make a real difference, giving someone practical help and hope in some of their hardest times. Thank you.
