If you're considering raising some funds for Wandsworth food bank, you're in the right place!
We are so grateful for the generosity of the people of Wandsworth. At key points during the year – such as at Easter, Harvest, Christmas – we would love people to think about raising funds as well as an awareness of the injustice of why food banks exist in this country!
To help, we have put together some ideas that you can use or they may trigger you to have even better ideas (if so please do share them with us) of how you can get your office, school, social group etc raising money to help your neighbours who are in crisis.
Download this document for; ideas, a ‘sign up sheet’ and a ‘fund paying-in form’:
Let us know what you are doing and if it’s appropriate for us to publicise it via our website, or twitter page. Please do take lots of pictures, use social media, put up posters and flyers to let people know you’re having the event and who you’re raising money for (Wandsworth Foodbank).
Using Virgin Money Giving is an easy way of collecting everyone’s donations. Fundraising pages can be created for specific events. Gift aid can then be collected automatically, so could be preferable than having to collect cash or cheques from people.
We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Your money will help local people who are in crisis with not only food but also guidance and connections with professional and other services to help them out of that crisis. We also carry out research and advocacy work, with a vision to see an end to the need for food banks in the UK.
